Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice experienced while lying down comfortably. Often described as yogic sleep, the practice gently guides you into a state between wakefulness and sleep where the body can deeply rest while the mind remains softly aware. This state of rest supports the nervous system and allows the body to settle in a way that can feel both grounding and restorative.

During the session, you will lie down fully supported with blankets and optional props for comfort. Using a steady and calming pace, you will be guided through breath awareness, body sensing, and visualization techniques designed to help the mind slow down and the body release tension. There is no movement required and nothing you need to do perfectly. You are simply invited to listen and allow the experience to unfold naturally.

Many people find Yoga Nidra helpful when feeling mentally overstimulated, physically fatigued, or when it feels difficult to fully relax. It is also common to drift in and out of sleep during the practice. Even if the mind wanders or the body falls asleep, the practice is still supportive.

Your first session includes a brief consultation to understand what you are hoping to receive from the practice, followed by your guided Yoga Nidra experience (about 90 minutes). After the session, you will receive a personalized audio recording of the Yoga Nidra to continue supporting your intention and allow you to revisit the practice as desired.

Location

Sessions may be scheduled in person or virtually via Zoom, allowing you to practice comfortably in your own space.

Gentle Note

No prior experience is needed. This experience is restorative and non-directive in nature and is intended to support relaxation and rest.
